From the Waltham Health Department on 10/8/20: ALERT! Yesterday, the City of Waltham was upgraded to the highest level of risk for COVID-19 (RED) - We need YOUR help to stop the spread of COVID-19! Wear a face covering. Wash your hands. Practice physical distancing. Don't share food, drinks or utensils. If you feel sick, stay home. Follow travel quarantine guidelines. Keep your gatherings small. Even with family and friends, make sure everyone wears a mask and keep a safe distance. Parties and gatherings that do not meet state guidelines have got to stop. We are pleased to announce that Opportunities for Inclusion's on-site day programs are open to all participants who would like to return. Click here for more details.

We will continue to run remote sessions Monday-Friday 10 am-2:30 pm for all of our participants (see details in News below).

As we work to slowly reopen while keeping our participants and staff safe, your donation will help provide these critical items:
· $1,000 will provide 300 protective face shields to keep our staff members and participants safe, especially individuals who cannot tolerate wearing a mask
· $500 will purchase 1,000 disposable face masks for staff and participants
· $300 will provide an iPad and protective case for an individual to use to connect to our remote online day program
· $250 will purchase 400 pairs of disposable gloves
· $150 will provide two no-touch digital thermometers
· $100 will provide ten 16 oz. bottles of hand sanitizer
· $50 will purchase a grocery store gift card for an individual/family in need
· $25 will purchase 150 disposable shoe covers

Our mission is to serve children, adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in the community, utilizing a person-centered planning approach. We provide quality, flexible programs, services and supports which maximize independence, foster inclusion, promote self-advocacy and build community connections. Opportunities for Inclusion programs are based upon self-determination, sound teaching practices and the latest technology. We are committed to advocacy and legislation to influence attitudes and perceptions so individuals may choose and achieve life goals.

A private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Opportunities for Inclusion is uniquely sensitive to the level of personal support required for individuals to thrive. We have proven experience with the inclusion of all people into the community.
