Celebrating Diversity!

Our diverse staff and program participants bring a rich array of cultures and heritages that we want to highlight and celebrate!
We have begun a series of diversity related activities in our program rooms and our virtual day program. Each month,
topics that relate to the cultures, heritages, holidays and traditions of our diverse staff and program participants will be
presented.
In April, we are focusing on Spring, April holidays and events, including Earth Day.
In March, our focus was on St. Patrick's Day, Irish culture and Women's History Month.
In February, well-known figures and topics relating to Black History Month were presented and discussed, including:
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
- Hank Aaron, baseball great
- Black inventors and inventions
- Black poets
- History of the drum set
- Liberia, West Africa and personal background of our CEO, Gabriel Vonleh
On February 3, Alex N., a participant in our Group Supported Employment program, launched our activities with a presentation
about Martin Luther King, Jr. that he researched, wrote and shared with participants and staff in our program rooms and virtual day program.
