How Your Support Helps
Your generous donation makes success stories like these possible:
Due to aging, J., who has Down Syndrome, recently transitioned from our Community Based Day Supports program to our DayHabilitation program. Opportunities for Inclusion staff and therapists recommended this change. The transition was not easy, as change is difficult for this population. With the skilled support of agency staff members, J. has adjusted to his new program activities and is thriving.

Ken and a staff member shop for groceries to deliver to local food pantries. Our participants shop using funds donated by members of the Waltham Rotary Club. This joint effort provides Opportunities for Inclusion participants an important volunteer opportunity in the community and helps families in need.
Before graduating from high school, T. was enrolled in our School to Work Transitions program. Transitions staff supported her in a positive volunteer position and later in a successful part-time job. She is now employed at one of Opportunities for Inclusion's Group Supported Employment sites at a local university. Pride, independence and a paycheck help her to be more self-sufficient.
~Your generous gift assists high school students to explore career options and gain job training and job experience to become productive members of the community upon graduation.
Opportunities for Inlcusion has been working in the Waltham community for 60 years. With the support of donors like you, we've created opportunities that are second to none for our friends, relatives and neighbors with disabilities. We hope you will make a generous donation to our agency to ensure our continued success.
M. is an adolescent who has had limited social opportunities. With the support of his parents and Opportunities for Inclusion Recreation staff, he began participating in agency activities—like healthy cooking, sports events and fishing. With new friends and more confidence, M. is now comfortable in the community, and has even gone on an overnight trip with Opportunities for Inclusion.
~Your tax-deductible donation supports accessible recreation activities in the community.

Kristina and Brian cheer the BC Eagles football team at a game with Opportunities for Inclusion Recreation.
S. cares for her elderly mother in her home. Money is tight, with little left for extras. This year, S. learned about Opportunities for Inclusion's Adult Family Care (AFC) program which provides support and a tax-free stipend of $9,000-$18,000 annually for those eligible. Regular visits from a care manager and nurseon the agency's AFC team have given S. confidence in her caretaking, and the stipend helps to pay for a caregiver occasionally so she has time for herself.
~Your generous gift provides support to families caring for their adolescent/adult children with disabilities or elderly loved ones in their homes through our Adult Family Care Program.
