Opportunities for Inclusion's 67th Annual Meeting was held on January 16, 2024.
THANK YOU to all who braved the winter weather to attend in person, and to those who attended on Zoom to hear about our 2023 accomplishments, and to celebrate our staff and community members who received awards.

Keynote Speaker for the event was Massachusetts Senator Michael Barrett.

Congratulations to our Award Recipients!

Staff Longevity Awards were presented to:
Renee Emmonds, Recreation Assistant - 10 years
Glenroy Williams, Direct Support Professional - 6 years
Kathleen Augustini, RN, AFC Nurse - 5 years

Community Awards were presented to:
John L. Battaglino Award of Excellence - Alex Nicolas, participant in OFI's Group Supported Employment Program
"Rags" LaCava Community Service Award - Cathyann Harris, Waltham Ward 8 City Councilor
Natalie and Leona Selines Award - Common Good Co., accepted by Jace Rasche and Drew Thurman

OFI First Annual Staff PACT Award for consistently exemplifying the values of Politeness, Accountability, Caring and Thoughtfulness presented to:
Peter Cohn, Group Supported Employment Site Supervisor

Gabriel Vonleh, CEO, presents 2023 accomplishments to attendees in person and on Zoom.

Board Member Kevin Douglas presents the slate of Board Officers and members for 2024.

Massachusetts State Senator Michael Barrett (D-Third Middlesex) spoke to attendees about his background, priorities and state budget concerns.


Glenroy Williams (above left), Direct Support Professional, receives a Staff Longevity Award for Six Years from Mary Leo and Gabriel Vonleh, CEO.

Alex Nicolas accepts the John L. Battaglino Award of Excellence from Leah Battaglino Cosby, while Gabriel Vonleh, CEO, looks on.

Bud LaCava, son of Anthony "Rags" LaCava, joined on Zoom to present the "Rags" LaCava Community Service Award to Cathyann Harris, Waltham Ward 8 City Councilor.

Gabriel Vonleh read a statement from Ron Selines before presenting the Natalie and Leona Selines Award to Jace Rasche (center) and Drew Thurman (right) of Common Good Co.

Peter Cohn, OFI Group Supported Employment Site Supervisor, receives the First Annual PACT Award from Gabriel Vonleh.
This award was given to the staff member who exemplifies the PACT values of Politeness, Accountability, Caring and Thoughtfulness in their daily work.
